Dr. Jeff Foster is a leader in interventional pain treatments, specializing in advanced treatments for low back pain, sciatica, lumbar stenosis, sacroiliac joint pain, and arthritic and nerve-related pain. In addition to traditional treatments, Dr. Foster uses leading-edge methods to provide his patients long-term therapies for their pain and disability. 

Because pain is multi-factorial and individualized, effective treatments can be multi-factorial and individualized as well. For successful outcomes, patients should be active participants in their own care. Dr. Foster engages with his patients in goal-oriented therapies and lifestyles while they work with him to find effective ways to improve function and quality of life.

Dr. Foster is board certified in Pain Medicine and in Anesthesiology. He attended the University of Kansas for his bachelor’s degree in exercise science, while playing football and earning an Orange Bowl championship for the Jayhawks. Dr. Foster then completed a master's degree in bioethics and graduated medical school from Kansas City University. He is a member of Sigma Sigma Phi—the National Osteopathic Medicine Honor Society—as well as the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He completed his residency training in Anesthesiology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center where he served as the Chief Resident. He then completed his fellowship in Pain Medicine at the University of Kansas. He currently serves as faculty for the Anesthesiology Residency at UMKC. 

Dr. Foster is joining Ascentist Healthcare and is starting to see patients March 1, 2023!
